The Croft-Gilchrist School of Dancing will provide a number of exciting courses to assist others in the greater knowledge of dance with these professionally run classes.
Ballet
Ballet technique is the basis of all dance genres. Students are entered for Examination in all levels. All students are trained using the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus which includes character and Pointe in the Vocational levels. All graded and vocational levels are taught.
Jazz & Tap
Here, all the school’s students are taught interactive skills and techniques of the ADA syllabus. We have a Rhythm & Dance (Jazz/Tap combo) class for 4-6yrs and Primary Jazz/Tap Combo class for 7-10yrs.
Contemporary
Expanding on techniques and style, Contemporary is taught for expression and imagination.
Highland
This traditional artistic sport has left a mark globally and all students are trained to Royal Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing Competitive work and VSDA examining body.
Acrobatic Arts
Acro or Acrobatic Dance is the beautiful fusion of classic dance technique and the precision and athleticism of acrobatic elements.
Tiny Tots and Dance with Me Toddler Class
These classes teach students from 2 years of age to develop skills of movement, co-ordination, music appreciation and to be flexible working with others.
Teenage and Adult
Providing quality classes for beginner to advanced levels in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and highland.
Getting involved
Students can experience the joy and camaraderie of our Annual Concert, competitions, eisteddfods, and other displays enhancing their newly acquired skills, talents and techniques.
