Croft Gilchrist School of Dancing has been shaped by some of Australia’s most accomplished dance educators. Our team holds recognised qualifications with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), the Australian Dance Association (ADA), the Victorian Scottish Dancing Association (VSDA), and the Acrobatic Arts programme.
Every teacher brings warmth, patience and a genuine love of dance to every class — whether your child is a tiny two-year-old taking their first steps on stage, or a teenager preparing for eisteddfod.
Robyn Croft — Principal
RAD Registered Teacher · Foundation Member, The Australian Ballet · 50+ years teaching
Robyn is a foundation member of The Australian Ballet and a former dancer with the Royal Ballet. Together with her late husband Doug Gilchrist she founded the school in 1971 and has been inspiring Townsville dancers ever since.
